“Trains” is about the real thing. 12 inches to the foot scale. I joined Queensland Government Railways in 1963 as a temporary engine cleaner. In 1965 I was classified as a fireman to Hughenden. In 1966 I transferred to Gladstone as a fireman. 1975 saw me classified as a driver to Cloncurry. After 2.5 months I transferred back to Gladstone as a driver. In 1995 I became a tutor driver in Gladstone. I was a tutor for 15 years. I decided to reduce myself back to a driver for the remainder of my career.
